Hemi heads with valves at a significant angle to the vertical offer two
advantages over bathtub chambers. More valve area and also the valves are not
bore shrouded and have a higher flow potential for a given size valve.
Disadvantage is a poor chamber shape which tends not to burn well and has poor
resistance to detonation. Compression ratio therefore needs to be kept on the
low side but the flow advantages far outweigh this.
